Palo Verde Ladies Golf Association (PVLGA)

Founded in 1985

About Us…

Palo Verde Ladies Golf Association (PVLGA) was founded in January 1985 with 50 charter members. Member’s handicaps range from zero to 36, and ages range from 45 to over 90. Our purpose is to promote good sportsmanship and golf for women of all playing capabilities in an organized format that encourages social interaction.

Membership is limited to homeowners and residents of Cottonwood/Palo Verde, Sun Lakes Country Club, and IronOaks. Prospective members must establish a handicap by playing five 18-hole rounds of golf at Palo Verde or any other course and paying PVLGA membership fees.

Members are encouraged to participate as a PVLGA committee member or board member. Opportunities abound!

The league plays every Tuesday year around. Annual tournaments include:

  • Cotton-Verde Tournament played in conjunction with the Cottonwood Ladies Golf Club
  • Member/Member
  • Member/Guest
  • Fun Day
  • Men vs Ladies Challenge
  • Club Championship
  • President’s Cup

PVLGA typically designates five Tuesday play days that include golf, a business meeting and luncheon each year. In addition, parties may be held on the Pro Shop patio in conjunction with special tournaments.

Annual dues include the fee for an AWGA handicap and are used for prize money throughout the year. Membership applications are available in the Palo Verde Ladies Lounge.
