The AGA conducts seven State Championships which include match play, stroke play, and better ball events. Some championships are open to all and others are restricted by age. All are played at scratch and offer golfers a highly competitive environment at some of Arizona’s most prestigious golf venues.
The AGA conducts 18 qualifiers each year on behalf of the United States Golf Association. These include qualifiers for both open and amateur championships for men, women and juniors. Entries for USGA qualifiers are made directly through the United States Golf Association at USGA.org.
The AGA conducts association tournaments throughout the state for men and women. Players are flighted by age and/or handicap and multiple sets of tees are utilized to enhance the player’s experience and enjoyment. Several tournaments provide both gross and net prizes.
Senior Cup Series Presented by Oncore Golf
The Senior Cup Series is a series of one-day Four-Ball events (better ball of partners) for AGA members aged 50 and older. Teams play in flights and accumulate points throughout the series. The top points winners are eligible to participate in the season-ending Championship held at a prestigious golf venue in September.

AGA Team Events include the annual Father/Son tournament in June, annual Club Team Championship in December, and more. The formats vary for each event.
There are several competitive tournaments held throughout the state that are classified as sanctioned, the AGA has no role in sanctioned events other than to allocate points for representation on AGA teams. All aspects of the event is managed by the golf facility.
Regional & National Team Events
These events include the Arizona/Utah Shootout, Goldwater Cup, Southwest Team, Peru Invitational, Gibson Cup, Pacific Coast Amateur, Southwest Team and more.
AGA social golf days are non-competitive events open to members and non-members. No matter what your skill level, come out and experience the game. Events include Just for Fun days, Summer Scrambles, and Happy Hour Golf Clinics.
