AGA Member Weekend at the Mayan Palace Resort & Golf Course
Watch the recap for a peak into our first Member Weekend event of the year.
The first AGA Member Weekend of 2021 was a success!
The weather was beautiful from sunrise to sunset in Puerto Penasco where the Mayan Palace Resort and Golf Course are situated. This made for two full days of amazing golf on the the Nicklaus Design Course which proved to be quite challenging. One of the biggest difficulties faced by players was the wind which picked up as the day passed by. However, that didn’t stop the group of (ZAGAS Sponsor) who posted a 126 after the first day giving players plenty to talk about while gathered around the fire pit later that evening. That same group went on to win the grand prize: a Weekend Stay and Play Package at the Mayan Palace. Overall it was an awesome weekend filled with good weather, good company and great golf!
We will be returning in May for another Member Weekend because everyone could use a little extra ocean therapy in their lives so be sure to sign up by clicking the link below.
The Arizona Golf Association (AGA), which was founded in 1923, is a not-for-profit 501(c)(4) association that serves as the official governing body of amateur golf in Arizona. What started as a small group of golfers who got together to run the annual Amateur Championship has grown to an association of more than 700 men’s and women’s clubs, serving nearly 80,000 individual members. Today the AGA is a volunteer-based organization directed by amateur golfers passionately dedicated to promoting the game of golf and providing valuable benefits and services to its members.
