Nature Valley Amateur


For the fourth straight year, Nature Valley is giving aspiring golfers the opportunity to play like a PGA TOUR player - competing on TPC and other great courses with fast greens, high rough and Sunday pin placements. The 2010 Nature Valley Amateur, a June-September series, includes qualifying events in 18 coast-to-coast markets, from Washington State to Florida. In addition to 16 TPC clubs, competition venues include Cog Hill - Dubsdread and Torrey Pines - South Course. Four players from each qualifying event will advance to the two-day Championship on THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass, November 5 - 6, 2010 in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.

Arizona represented at 44th Pacific Coast Amateur

Scottsdale’s Philip Francis, Anthem’s Scott Pinckney, Nogales’ Alberto Sanchez, Phoenix’s Charlie Marusiak and Chandler’s Garrett Iverson will compete in the 44th Pacific Coast Amateur Championship, one of the nation’s premiere amateur golf events, July 27 through 30 at Eugene Country Club in Oregon.

Brown defends AGA Western Am title

Blake Brown, of Scottsdale, successfully defended his AGA Western Amateur title at Yuma Golf and Country Club shooting a 2-day total of 144 on a very windy weekend in Yuma. This is Blake's second win of the year - he also won the AGA Short Course at The Lakes at Ahwatukee Golf Club.

Legends Tour Announces New Tournament in Tucson

The Legends Tour announced today the debut of the Women’s Senior National Invitational to be held at the challenging Omni Tucson National Resort Catalina Course April 23 – 25, 2010. With a unique two-day event format, the event will attract 18 top Legends of the LPGA to Tucson this spring. This marks the sixth event on The Legends Tour’s calendar in 2010 and its third new event in nine months.
