Entry fee: $160/player

Entry Deadline: 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 14th. Unfilled tournament spots will continue to be filled post-Entry Deadline, if necessary.

HOST SITE: Yuma Golf & Country Club (3150 S Fortuna Ave., Yuma, AZ 85366)

DATES: May 19-20, 2018 (Friday – Sunday)

ELIGIBILITY: Participants must be active members of an AGA Member Club.

FORMAT: 36-Holes of individual stroke play at Gross. Participants will play in OPEN, MASTERS, SENIOR, SUPER SENIOR and LEGENDS DIVISIONS based on age. Overall champion can come from any Division. Top finishers in each Division will receive merchandise credit to Van’s Golf Shop.

94th ARIZONA AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER: The Western Amateur will also serve as a qualifying location for the Arizona Amateur Championship. Players who wish to attempt to qualify will need to pay $40 cash at the Tournament Registration Table prior to the first round shotgun. 36-holes of stroke play for qualifying positions. Guarnteed 10 AZ Am qualifying spots from this qualifier. Final number of qualifier spots will be posted prior to play. Click here for a list of exempt players

CADDIES: Caddies are permitted for the tournament. They must walk at all times unless there is an available seat in one of the players carts. Caddies riding in a cart MUST NOT displace a player.

In addition, the following policies will be enforced:

  1. Spectator carts are not permitted for insurance reasons, NO EXCEPTIONS.
  2. Pull carts are permitted as long as not in conflict with the Host Club rules.                                                                     

TOURNAMENT TEE TIMES: Pairings will be in groups of four, shotgun start both days.

In the event of a tie, a hole-by-hole playoff will begin immediately following the conclusion of play to determine the overall champion.

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Practice rounds are available. Check back soon for special times & rates for AGA players.

HOST HOTEL:  The Springhill Suites Marriott (1825 E. 18th Street, Yuma, AZ 85365) is offering AGA participants a $119/night room rate during the event. Call (928) 783-7853 and use the call-in code: "Arizona Golf" to make reservations.

PAIRINGS: Official tournament pairings will be available by end of day on Tuesday, May 15. Pairings will be posted on the tournament website and players will receive an email once pairings are available.

DRIVING RANGE: Practice balls will be available on the range prior to play on: Saturday & Sunday at Yuma Country Club.

PAYOUTS: Payouts in the form of merchandise gift cards will be mailed to top finishers following the event. Specific payout amounts will be posted prior to final-round scoring.

GOLF CART USE: Players may walk but are permitted to ride in carts and cart fees are covered in the tournament entry fee. Carts will be staged near the practice facilities each morning of the competition. Maximum of two carts per group and maximum of two riders per cart. Click here for AGA's complete golf cart policy.

In addition, the following policies will be enforced:

  1. Spectator carts are not permitted for insurance reasons, NO EXCEPTIONS.
  2. Carts are assigned only to contestants. A caddie may use a cart only if a contestant is not displaced by such use.
  3. Restrictions on cart use for players are at the discretion of the Host Site, and all players are bound by those requirements, subject to withdrawal for violations of that policy. Any such restrictions will be posted at the tournament site.
  4. Two persons per cart only.
  5. Carts must be kept on paths if available near greens and tees.
  6. Any non-player riding with a player is considered a caddie and subject to any potential rules violations.
  7. Pull carts are permitted as long as not in conflict with the Host Club rules.

WITHDRAW POLICY: Prior to the Entry Deadline, players may withdraw from a tournament and receive a full refund by completing the withdraw process on the tournament website, calling the AGA office (602) 944-3035 during normal business hours or calling the Withdraw Line at (602) 944-3035 ext. 210 and leaving a message.

After the Entry Deadline has passed, any withdraw will be considered a “late withdraw”. Tournament entry fees will only be returned if the player’s position in the field is filled by an alternate. In any case, a $30 administrative fee will be deducted from any tournament entry fee refund, regardless of the reason for withdrawing.
