2018 Arizona Stroke Play Championship

Grand Canyon University Golf Course will be the host of the 2018 Stroke Play Championship. Located in Phoenix, Grand Canyon University purchased Maryvale Golf Course and renovated the course. In 2017 Jake Chanen won by three strokes at GCU Golf Course.

2018 Arizona Stroke Play Championship

HOST SITE: Grand Canyon University Golf Course, 5902 W Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85033

DATES: April 26-29, 2018 (Thursday - Sunday)

This is a MANDATORY WALKING EVENT. No cart priviledges will be granted to participants, caddies or spectators. Caddies must walk with players.
In addition, the following policies will be enforced:
1) Spectator carts are NOT permitted, NO EXCEPTIONS
2) Push carts are permitted

CADDIES: Caddies are permitted for the Championship.

PRACTICE ROUNDS: TBD

FORMAT: 72 holes of individual stroke play @ gross with a cut to 60 + ties after 36 holes with a max field size of 144 players                                                                                   

TOURNAMENT TEE TIMES: Rounds 1 & 2 to begin at 7:15 a.m. from both the 1st and 10th tee in groups of 3 at 10 minute intervals. (no public play in front of lead groups each day). Rounds 3 & 4 to begin at 7:15 a.m. off 1st tee only in groups of 3 at 10 minute intervals.

                                First Wave – 7:15 – 9:15 a.m. tee times off #1 and #10 tees                                             

                                Second Wave – 11:45 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. tee times off #1 and #10 tee

                Friday, April 27

                                First Wave – 7:15 – 9:15 a.m. tee times off #1 and #10 tees

                Saturday, April 28

PAIRINGS: Official pairings will be availale by end of day on Monday, April 23. Participants will receive an email once pairings are released and will be posted online.

DRIVING RANGE: Practice balls will be available on the range prior to play on: Thursday – Sunday at Grand Canyon Golf Course

PAYOUTS: Participants who make the cut will recieve $100 credit to the Titleist Merchandise stand on-site at GCU.

WITHDRAW POLICY: Prior to the Entry Deadline, players may withdraw from a tournament and receive a full refund by completing the withdraw process on the tournament website, calling the AGA office (602) 944-3035 during normal business hours or calling the Withdraw Line at (602) 944-3035 ext. 210 and leaving a message.

After the Entry Deadline has passed, any withdraw will be considered a “late withdraw”. Tournament entry fees will only be returned if the player’s position in the field is filled by an alternate. In any case, a $30 administrative fee will be deducted from any tournament entry fee refund, regardless of the reason for withdrawing.
