Below is an update on tournament management software available to member clubs of the Arizona Golf Association.
As a reminder, after the United States Golf Association chose not to renew its contract with Golf Genius at the end of 2021, the Arizona Golf Association chose to partner with Golf Genius to continue providing tournament management software to AGA member clubs for calendar year 2022. The AGA has since explored several products across the tournament software space to determine the most effective software solution and financially viable option for the association moving forward. The changing landscape of tournament software will place a financial strain on many state and regional golf associations across the country over the next several years, including the AGA.
After recently completing the review process, we are pleased to announce that we are continuing our partnership with Golf Genius as the primary tournament software vendor for the Arizona Golf Association and its member clubs. Golf Genius continues to be a trusted partner of the AGA by reinvesting in its suite of products and providing great customer service to support clubs and golfers around the world.
Here are the details and implications for AGA member clubs:
From January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023, the AGA is planning to continue its full subsidy of the Golf Genius TM Club product for all AGA member clubs. Clubs will continue to have the option to upgrade and pay for the Golf Genius Premium product at their discretion.
What happens after December 31, 2023?
Annually, the AGA examines its financial resources to determine the most viable tournament software option for the association and its member clubs moving forward. We plan to determine our approach to 2024 and beyond as soon as possible to minimize the impact on our member clubs.
