Ireland golf tour

April 8, 2011 (Scottsdale, AZ)–Golf touring in Ireland and playing many of the finest pure links courses in the world is on most golfers’ wishlists. It’s even rarer when you can play golf on many of Ireland’s greatest courses and also take in a college football game—the American kind. An unusual opportunity, then, awaits golfers who book their trip for the “All Roads Lead to The K Club” Tour to Ireland slated for late August 2012.

The central event of the 9-day excursion to the land of great links golf, Guinness and castles, culminates at The K Club, just outside Dublin, where we will play a Special 36-hole tournament over the Palmer and Smurfit courses on the tour’s final two days. “This is an opportunity for a limited number of lucky golfers to play golf in Ireland on several of the legendary Top-100 courses and attend a unique and exciting college football game between the two great NCAA rivals of Notre Dame and Navy” says Taba Dale, president of Scottsdale Collection, who partners with Kevin McGrath of The International Golfing Experience Register, to design and lead these fabulous tours.

The trip begins with one of three excellent itineraries in either the Southwest, North & East or West & Northwest of Ireland. All the tours meet up at the five-star K Club (venue for the 2006 Ryder Cup) for the three final nights where we also hold our awards dinner following the 36-hole tournament. Winners will take home stunning trophies specially commissioned from Tipperary Crystal.

“As a native of Dublin, and longtime member of Portmarnock and Lahinch, I feel I am bringing an exciting new dimension to standard golf tours,” says McGrath. “Whereas most tours involve golfers playing with their own golfing buddies, our tours will give them the opportunity to meet fellow golfers from Ireland and around the globe and compete with them in a fun handicap event, forging friendships that only the game of golf can deliver.”

In addition to golfing, the Irish tours will offer the use of luxurious spas, sightseeing at famous attractions like the Cliffs of Moher. The Dublin area offers opportunities to see the Book of Kells at Trinity College and The Guinness Storehouse, and shopping on Grafton Street or doing a pub crawl in Temple Bar.

“Three five-star itineraries, with five-star accommodations and five-star fun” says Dale, summing up the Ireland trips.

Prevent disease with early detection

The best weapon against devastating disease is early detection. HealthScreens offers preventative ultrasound screenings that enable individuals to detect potential early disease processes before symptoms occur.

The Sun City Country Club will host this service in mid-August. Appointments can be scheduled at any of the following Arizona Sunset Golf Association events:  July 10 at Verrado, July 24 at Sun City Country Club or August 7 and August 8 at Troon North. The following screenings will be offered: stroke, aneurysm, gallbladder, kidney, liver, thyroid, heart, circulation and osteoporosis.

One active golf couple said, "All this took just a few minutes of our time and the total cost was less than a day of golf and dinner." Dr. Patrick Quinn of Cardiac Solutions says, "If more people at a younger age take advantage of HealthScreens, early detection of problems can be brought to the attention of their doctor. With this screening, many heart attacks and strokes can be prevented."
Be proactive. Stay healthy. Keep golfing. Go to www.healthscreens.net or call MaryAnn at 602-803-9653 for more information.
