Long and Summerhays, Javnick and Hauptman, qualify for U.S. Women’s Fourball Championship in Puerto Rico.

Phoenix, AZ– Berlin Long and Grace Summerhays, along with Jayden Jevnick and Kate Hauptman, earned co-medalist at the 2021 U.S. Women’s Amateur Fourball Qualifier at Briarwood Country Club.

Long, from Lehi, Utah, is verbally committed to play at Brigham Young University. Her playing mate, Grace Summerhays, from Scottsdale, Arizona, is committed to Arizona State.

Kate Hauptman, 12-year-old, is from Phoenix, Arizona. In her last eight tournaments, Hauptman has five T5 or better finishes. Jayden Jevnick, just 13 years-old, is from Cave Creek, Arizona. This Thursday was Jevnick’s 12th event of 2021. In twelve events, she has six T10 or better finishes.

After shooting 5-under 67 on Thursday, the four shared a two-stroke lead over the rest of the field.

All four women will be heading to Grand Reserve Golf Club next April for the U.S. Women’s Fourball Championship. This is the first time that a Puerto Rico course will host a USGA Championship.
