Power Pair Lindquist and McCarthy take 2021 Arizona Four-Ball title

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz – John Lindquist and Patrick McCarthy combined to shoot an overall 17-under on the Wigwam Golf Club Gold course the weekend of September 11th to claim the 2021 Arizona Four Ball title. They started the competition by shooting a 7-under which left them trailing JGAA talents Adam Miller and Charlie Palmer by one stroke on the day.

McCarthy and Lindquist came out firing with a renewed spirit on Sunday though to shoot a 10-under, besting the rest of the field by four strokes.

“We just fed really well off each other. When one of us had a bad hole the other covered the others back,” said Lindquist.

“We kind of picked spots we wanted to go at because we knew there were some tough pin locations,” added McCarthy, “Today we just got off to a lot better of a start.”

This is Patrick McCarthy’s first AGA Championship win and second for John Lindquist who captured the 2020 Arizona Stroke Play Championship held at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Course in Maricopa, AZ back in April.

In the Senior Divison, Jeff New & Lee Decof shot 9-under on the final day, after going bogey-free on the first day, to finish 14-under and win by four shots over the rest of the field.
