Desert Forest Set to Host 96th Arizona Amateur Championship
The 96th Arizona Amateur Championship begins Monday, July 29, where Arizona’s elite amateur golfers will challenge the prestigious Desert Forest Golf Club.
Contested over six days, Monday’s play will begin with a two-day, 36-hole stroke play qualifying, where the field will be cut to the low 64 players. Beginning Wednesday, the 64-player field moves to the match play portion. Awaiting the coveted Kachina is the winner of six match play victories. Thursday and Friday are double-round days to reduce the field to the two finalists on Saturday morning.
