Ken Kellaney Appointed to Section Board
The Southwest Section is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Ken Kellaney as an Independent Director on the Section Board. The Board unanimously approved Kellaney’s nomination at their February meeting. Kellaney recently retired from a distinguished 40-year career in commercial banking here in the Phoenix metro valley. Originally from Rockford, IL, Kellaney earned All-Big Ten and All-American honors on the University of Illinois men’s golf team. Upon graduating from U of I in 1979, Kellaney went to work at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago as a bank examiner while earning his MBA from Illinois Benedictine University. In 1987 Kellaney moved to Phoenix and spent 30-years servicing the banking needs of middle market businesses, twenty-three of those years were with National Bank of Arizona, where he was responsible for a $180M commercial loan portfolio. An accomplished player on the golf course, Kellaney has been a prominent name in Arizona amateur golf over the last three decades. A ten-time Player of the Year for the AGA, his career off the course also included extensive experience in golf industry finance work, including golf course construction projects from the ground up. That work encompassed construction of the golf clubhouse and maintenance facilities, along with equipment and working capital needed for new course start-up ventures. Kellaney has served on numerous corporation Boards with some of the largest contractor trade associations in Arizona. His appointment to the Southwest Section Board is for a two-year term . |
