Farewell to Ginger

For the past 20 years, Ginger Monroy has been a fixture at the Arizona Golf Association. As Director of Members Services, she has touched the lives of so many of our clubs and individual golfers. A non-golfer, Ginger often brought a fresh perspective to the game that we can often get wrapped up in, frustrated with, and passionate about – she always brought it back to “it’s just a game.” Ginger retired this week and plans to spend more time with her grandchildren. We hosted a wonderful retirement celebration at the Country Club of DC Ranch to bid her farewell.  She will be missed by members, staff and volunteers.
Taking Ginger’s place in working with the membership is, Liz Durnan. Liz grew up in Phoenix and played most of her golf at McCormick Ranch. She went to Belmont Abbey College on a golf scholarship and coached women’s golf for a while after graduation. She comes to us with great knowledge and understanding of the game.
