Bob Scrivner Will Be Missed

DECATUR — Robert Louis Scrivner, 63, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at his home.
Bob was born June 26, 1952 in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Robert and Mary (Heddins) Scrivner. He married Tamara S. Robbins on February 7, 2002.
Bob graduated from Shelbyville High School and attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. After working at Borg Warner and being a successful golf pro in Decatur and Chicago, Illinois, he began a career in sales for Titleist that lasted thirty-one years until his retirement. He considered many colleagues and friends at Titleist to be family.
Bob was an avid theatergoer and loved being a VIP at the Gammage Theater at Arizona State University. He and Tammy traveled to many places but felt a special fondness for New York and London because of that love of theater.
Bob was truly a people-person and was loved by many. His greatest joy was helping people get access to a round a golf, great theater tickets, hotel suites, or an evening of baseball in seats next to the dugout.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, and his grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Tammy, his mother, Mary (of Fort Myers, FL), his brother, David and wife, Connie (of Chilicothe, IL), nephew, Jonathan and wife Kate and great niece, Stella (of Peoria, IL), two stepsons, Doug Storm (of Bloomington, IN) and Ian Storm (of St. Louis, MO), and five step-grandsons.
There will be a celebration of Bob’s life held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Junior Golf Association or the American Diabetes Association.
