Club Team Championship ends with a playoff

The 15th Annual Club Team Championship, which was held at the prestigious Desert Highlands Golf Club Dec. 10, ended with a playoff between the championship flight teams of Trey Martin and Danny Hanson (Ping Golf Association) and defending champion Radd Lukas and his partner Tyler Mathews (Arrowhead Country Club). Both teams shot a 60 on one of the most challenging courses in the Valley. In the end though, Martin and Hanson walked away with the kachinas. View a complete list of results and check out photos from the event.
The field was made up of 54 two-person teams, all who qualified at one of five qualifying rounds held across the state to determine who would play in one of the AGA’s most popular events.
The Club Team Championship is divided into flights, with a championship flight that is scored gross only and other flights that are scored gross and net with a winner named in each. There is even a super senior flight for those members 70 and older. Information for the 2013 event will be available in the spring.
