Palmbrook CC looking for new GM

Palmbrook Country Club, established in 1971, is a private equity golf facility located in Sun City, Arizona. The club provides many types of memberships with an age restriction of 40 years old. The 18–hole par 72 course, designed by Jeff D. Hardin, features four sets of tees, the longest at 6529 yards, a 20+ tee driving range, chipping green and putting green, golf shop and two hard surface tennis courts. The clubhouse (30,000 square feet) provides men’s and ladies locker rooms, excellent food and banquet facilities, both formal dining and a bar and grill, seasonal snack shop and various activities for both Golf and Social Members.
Palmbrook is currently seeking a General Manager to direct all phases of Club operations and provide quality service and product to club members. The position reports to the President of the Board of Directors and is directly responsible for:

Managing all day to day operations with, and through, the appropriate Department Managers including any employee issues or actions with attention to detail to ensure the club operates smoothly and within the limits of any laws and regulations.
 Creating a 3-5 year strategic business plan to ensure the financial viability of the Club and ensuring the Club meets all financial obligations.
Creating and managing an annual budget in partnership with the Finance Committee and the Board of Directors.
Selection and development of staff for member satisfaction and retention.
Working with the Membership Committee and the Board of Directors to develop and implement plans to increase membership and expand the areas for recruitment while monitoring member attrition to minimize impact to revenue.
Providing club members and guests with a positive dining and social experience.
Developing outside business with banquets and weddings.

The successful candidate will have:

Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to recognize and solve problems while exercising good decision making skills.
Proven leadership qualities with demonstrated ability to direct, coordinate and manage all facets of a full service facility.
Proven ability to manage cost controls.
Familiarity with computer based Club Management Systems.
Creative marketing skills to attract new members.
Previous experience in Food and Beverage operation.
Ability to effectively manage the personnel at all levels.

The applicant filling this position must be a well-rounded individual with a proven record of strong financial management and food and beverage experience, while House and Course Management are very desired skills. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. A college degree and CCM designation are preferred.
