Partners and Programs

As a not-for-profit organization, we are not driven by the bottom line. Although, in order to be successful, we must generate profits, those profits are not intended for personal wealth, but rather for developing and providing programs that benefit our members and the golf community.
We have a commitment from several members of our amateur golf family to participate in the programs that will be offered at Papago Golf Course. Listed below are some of those organizations:
Arizona Women’s Golf Association
The AWGA represents over 25,000 members statewide. Their Ambassador program introduces women to the game. It creates an environment where women with little or no experience can come out and learn everything from how the game is played, to swing and playing basics, to establishing relationships within the golf community that will help them feel comfortable navigating the golf course on their own.

United States Golf Association
The USGA supports the project and has committed program support as well as agronomic research expertise.

Junior Golf Association of Arizona
JGAA not only provides opportunities for juniors to play competitive golf, but also has created a Linkster Developmental Program for youth. This is an after school and weekend program that teaches the game and provides opportunities for children to play with the pros.

First Tee of Phoenix
The First Tee of Phoenix was created to positively impact the lives of Maricopa County’s young people by teaching life skills and character education through the game of golf. This programs focuses, not only on teaching the game, but also on what it believes are the nine core values that spill over into life: honesty, integrity, courtesy, respect, sportsmanship, confidence, responsibility, judgement and perseverance.

LPGA-USGA Girls Golf
The division of the JGAA brings young girls into the game in a social atmosphere. It’s designed for girls ages 6-18 and was formed specifically to create a network for girls to learn to play golf, build friendships and compete in a non-threatening environment.

American Junior Golf Association (AJGA)
AJGA is a national organization that provides youth golf tournaments at the highest level.

Evans Foundation Programs,
The Evans Scholarship provides scholarships through its caddie programs.
