Member weekend at Mayan Palace |

Spend a weekend playing golf ocean side March 24-25 at Mayan Palace Peninsula de Cortes. The event, which is open to the first 110 AGA members (Handicap or ACCESS), is a 36-hole 4-man shamble gross. Entry fee is $129 which includes two rounds of golf, free beer during round one play, three additional drink coupons, free lunch both days, awards and a raffle. Sign up today for the 2012 Arizona Publinks Championship, being held March 16-18 at Ken McDonald Golf Course in Tempe. AGA members of public clubs with a USGA Handicap Index of 8.4 or less are eligible to participate. Click here for more information or to register.

Renewing Club Memberships Online |
If your club is participating in online renewals, you can now log in to renew your membership for 2012 by clicking on the green Renew Online button to the left. On the next page click on the green box.
If you did not renew your membership by Dec. 31st, you most likely have been inactivated by your club so you won't be able to post scores or receive your handicap revision. If they are not allowing online renewals you will need to contact them to pay your 2012 dues.

The 2012 season has officially begun with the 2012 San Tan Amateur at Las Colinas Golf Club, as a full field of 96 players competed in two days of stroke play. Congratulations to the overall champion Trey Martin, whose 13-under 129, finished 5 shots ahead of Aaron Moreno and Anthony Maccioli. For a complete list of results click here.

Cancer claims past USGA Women's Committee Chairman Barbara Douglas
 Barbara Douglas, who in 2009 became the first minority chairman of the USGA Women’s Committee, died Jan. 27 in Glendale, Ariz., after a three-year battle with cancer. Douglas began her Arizona work in golf with the National Minority Golf Foundation, creating opportunities for young people in and through the game she so loved. She also served the Arizona Golf Association as an executive committee member, the Arizona Golf Foundation as a board member and the Junior Golf Association of Arizona as president.
