Itty Bitty Open

You and your child, along with a cartoon friend will learn the basic skills of a golf, taught by a PGA or LPGA Professional. After the clinic there will be a fun, non-competitive golf tournament. It's FREE!!! Open to all 3, 4, & 5 year-olds only. Each golfer will recieve a set of plastic golf clubs, balls, a bag, and a vsior. An adult must accompany each golfer.

Welcome, Andrew, to the AGA!

Andrew grew up in rural northern Wisconsin on his parents dairy farm and participated in a variety of sports throughout school. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a degree in Sport Management, he completed the traveling operations internship with the American Junior Golf Association. Spending the next three years running national junior tournaments, where he eventually found his way to the sponsorship department at the AJGA, while having a profound interest in the Rules. His appreciation for the game and tournament operations became his passion.

Kim Eaton of Mesa, Arizona makes it as a quarter finalist in the 2016 U.S. Senior Women's Amateur in Wellesley, Massachusetts. After playing just 12 holes at Wellesley Country Club to win her first two matches in the 55th U.S. Senior Women's Amateur Championship, Kim Eaton needed 17 holes in the Round of 16 on Tuesday afternoon to reach the quarterfinals for the fourth time.

JGAA Hosts 100-Hole Golf Marathon

The Junior Golf Association of Arizona (JGAA) will host a fundraising event to benefit local junior golf programs where participants play 100 holes of golf in one day. In its 15th year, participants first solicit sponsorship pledges from various donors who may contribute anywhere from 50 cents to $50 per hole. Then, on Saturday, October 1, the participants come together at Bear Creek Golf Complex’s Cub Course to play the 100 holes.

Girls Golf Days Kicks Off Sept. 3rd

 Girls Golf of Phoenix announced that they will host a day-long special event and tournament at Papago Golf Course to celebrate the City of Phoenix’s official proclamation of Saturday, September 3 as “Girls Golf Day.” Open to all girls ages 5-17 for free, the event will cater to Phoenix-area girls and families from 9:30 AM to sunset.
“Growing the game of golf is more than just getting the kids on the golf course,” said Cori Matheson, Director of Girls Golf Phoenix. “It’s about engaging them, empowering them and energizing them to make golf – and all the lessons it teaches – part of their core. This sets them up for success on, and off, the golf course.”
