Performance points are awarded to the top finishers in all AGA Open and Divisional Tournaments, USGA Qualfiying Rounds, Sanctioned Events and selected local and regional events. Points are used for team selections and to determine year-end player awards.
Each year, the AGA rewards outstanding performance in the selection criteria for participation in regional, national and international tournaments including the Arizona/Utah Shootout, the Goldwater Cup Matches, the USGA State Team Championship, Southwest Team Challenge, Pacific Coast Amateur Championship and the Arizona Open.
The AGA rewards excellence by presenting awards to the top performers in each of the tournament categories. The Player of the Year is presented to the top performer in AGA Open tournaments and championship, as well as in each of the divisions. The Mayfair Award is presented to the player with the lowest stroke average.
